As part of our under the sea topic, we had a very fishy afternoon in fledglings class! Some of us volunteered to touch something hidden under a box, and tried to describe to our friends what it felt like....wet, gooey and slimy were the words we came up with! Then Miss Riggs took the lid off and wow! It was a fish! Two of them in fact!
We used our senses to explore the fish and talked about what it looked like and what it smelled like! Most of us felt brave enough to touch it too! We looked at the different parts of a fish - the pectoral fin, the tail, the scales and the gills! It was great fun but our classroom was a bit pongy afterwards!
